Gerry Fen is a boardwalk through a pond/wetlands near Alexandria, Ontario. At the last minute we decided to visit it, but didn't know what to expect. Turned out we likely were there at the peak of orchid time.
A grass pink orchid appeared first

One stretch of the boardwalk produced numerous showy ladyslipper orchids

A few yellow ladyslippers

And one lone, fading, moccasin flower (a.k.a pink ladyslipper)

A few other flowers

Blue flag iris (with bee)

Deadly nightshade

Marsh vetchling

Dogwood

Cow parsley

Cow parsley

Twin flower
Two varieties of tea: Labrador tea (Marsh tea?) and Western Labrador tea

Canada mayflower looks like foamflower but has different leaves and blooms later

Three new ones for me. Cotton deergrass, water aven and marsh cinquefoil

Three different carnivorous plant plants
Sundew and bladderwort

Lots of pitcher plants, including one with fresh petals hanging from the flower. The "cups' that insects fall into normally point upwards, three in one photo, had fallen over

New growth on a bush growing with very wet feet

Wild sarsaparilla and red baneberry

I didn't recognize this plant, with blossoms, as being poison ivy until I got home and looked it up

Joe pye weed ready to bloom

Two clubtail dragonflies: unidentified and a dusky clubtail

Frogs were in plentiful supply. Two bull frogs and a green frog

Dryad's saddle fungus and a red-banded polypore
