The Jack Pine trail was quite quiet as we walked the 1.7 km - muddy in spots - trail.
Along with the blue jays and red-winged blackbirds that were not co-operative photo subjects, there were some small birds that did pose
Chickadees, there were still juncos around, a tree sparrow and a white-throated sparrow.




As always, there were a red-squirrels around, but one seemed quite tolerant of having a lens poked in its direction



The pussy willows were in various stages of bloom



As we saw at Mer Bleue boardwalk the other day, a small area of bull rushes were flattened. Not sure why

The marsh/swamp is not that attractive in early spring
