I have this "thing"(some would say fixation🙄) for murals, so when I heard the The City of Gatineau, across the river in Quebec, had commissioned 10 murals, I had to go. The murals were on Eddy Street, in the central area of the city, Hull as it was known then, but in need of some love and rehabilitation.Â
The murals were described as whimsical. I'd agree with that for many, but not all.
Please be aware that 1 or 2 murals, that had cars parked in front of them, were edited with Ai to remove the cars. (An artists painting a scene will remove subjects "in the way", so why not photographers. So long as they declare it - until the controversy dies down.)
Many planters were brightly painted, even some birds appeared
Some of the murals had explanations nearby, they are included when I spotted them. I missed the explanation for this one (Although I now see it in the bottom right corner.)

A block away I found a very long mural that was done a few years ago. It had an accompanying explanation.
